— Canon t6i Auto Focus test (Face Tracking, Video Spot Focus, Live View) —
I test out the Autofocus of the brand new Canon t6i (or 750d). I test out the face tracking, spot focus, focus tracking and live view tracking.
The autofocus on the t6i is really very good, and is nearly as good compared to the Canon 70d.
So far I’ve been very impressed with the Canon t6i, it’s autofocus system has been greatly improved. The Canon t6i/750d doesn’t have the Canon 70d’s Dual Pixel Autofocus system, but it does have a Hybrid AF system which should compare quite well.
The Canon t6i/750d has an improved 24.2 MegaPixel sensor which I’ve found does produce sharp images and an improved metering system with skin tone detection.
The Canon t6i also has some other nice features, including improved wifi and NFC functions which will make it easy to transfer photos from your camera to your phone or computer.
The Canon t6i vs Canon t6s will be an interesting comparison. The T6s does have a top lcd screen, which is a nice pro feature as seen on the 70d, a quick control dial and the t6s also offers Servo AF in Live view mode which is good for continuous Autofocus in burst mode. .
